CNP
2.0 Key Features:
- True scalability
– True FPGA system with ultra high bandwidth inter-FPGA and inter-module
communication implies true scalability, i.e., performance increases
linearly with the number of modules.
- Functional transparency
– Efficient development tools let the user treat the whole FPGA
cluster as one giant FPGA.
- Code for communication
and partitioning is added automatically.
- Flexible development
– The code for the algorithm blocks can be developed in any design
entry tool like Celoxica, Impulse C or directly in VHDL.
- Innovative architecture
– The chassis-based, modular design with flexible input/output
configurations facilitates very small physical size with several hundreds
of FPGAs.
Smooth
Development Environment
The system provides a convenient software environment, similar to traditional
computer systems. The available tools make the entire cluster of FPGAs
behave more or less like one giant FPGA, thus simplifying the programming
and allowing the user to concentrate on the algorithms. All code needed
for the communication infrastructure, between algorithm blocks as well
as external interfaces and host systems, is automatically added.

The FPGA partitioning is performed semi-automatically,
thereby drastically reducing the time for code partitioning and re-partitioning.
